Course Overview
This is an integrated study of science. Topics covered during the course of the year encompass two of the branches of science -- chemistry (i.e. the nature of matter, changes in matter, etc.) and physics (i.e. motion and energy, etc). In addition to the content, science is also a number of processes, a way of thinking, and a way of learning how to solve a problem. GIven this duality in the nature of science, this course also emphasizes laboratory exercises and the techniques for solving problems and conducting investigations.
